I qualified in 1977 at the Middlesex Hospital now part of University College London. I completed my training on the Kings Surgical Rotation. I was a Locum Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Australia, Perth.

In 1989 I was appointed Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery for the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust from which I retired in 2014. I continue to be a Consultant at the Spire Hospital Tunbridge Wells and the Horder Centre, Crowborough. I was Clinical Director from 2000 – 2010. I was also Clinical Governance Lead for the Tunbridge Wells Orthopaedic Department until 2014.

Professional Interests

I have a specialist interest in joint replacements – including hips, knees and shoulders.

My clinical interests are:

  • Arthroscopic shoulder surgery
  • Shoulder replacement and complex shoulder surgery
  • Arthroscopic knee surgery
  • Knee replacement
  • Primary hip replacement
  • Trauma

Personal Profile

When not at work I enjoy playing the classical guitar, bridge, golf, sailing and skiing.
